As the first blog post, I should expand more about who I am and my background in my passion.

I've grown up using very minimal gear. I remember my very first camera. It was the Hasbro Video Now 2.0 Digital Camera. The year was 2005, and I've received the camera for Christmas. It'll be another two years until a TV show inspired me to get started into digital media. After making my first video on YouTube, the path of digital media has started. I would continue to create more content since elementary school. There were some breaks, due to other interests and living the life of a kid at the time.

During the end of middle school to the beginning of high school, I've started to take digital media and filmmaking electives, as well as doing personal projects outside of the curriculum. Content creation has become a better part of my life. It was a good way to keep myself grounded while dealing with plights of being a teenager. I've ultimately made a decision to go to college for film and television after making personal projects and helping my peers with making videos. By that time I was in high school, I've upgraded from Windows Movie Maker to Sony Vegas Pro and started using a Sony Bloggie video camera. That camera would last from 2011 to 2016. With other projects I've helped on, I have gained experience with DSLRs and prosumer video cameras.

After graduating high school, I've taken on the challenge of going to University in order to achieve my dream of being a filmmaker. I learned a ton of valuable information in regards to set etiquette, building a project from start to finish, gauging what department I was most interested in. Initially, the goal ever since childhood was to work in the camera department. Post-production eventually took over the camera department once I've received a higher end editing software in high school. I would still stick with the camera department, but with a crazy twist. I would find myself being infatuated with lighting, which is in the camera department. You eventually learn the beauty of how to light a scene. There is so much depth in one tiny frame with how you light your subject. Not only that, you'd be surprised how many tools are used to light a scene, how many adapters to a stand are, how much versatility is in light wattage/bulbs, how many color options there are in lighting, etc.

I would eventually graduate university 22 months later. Finding work back home in Georgia would turn out to be difficult. This wasn't due to oversaturation in the market, it's my lack of networking skills and how to sell myself in the industry. The dream took a pause, since it was time to build character, to find out who I am as a person. I did lack the balance, since I was so much into creating by myself. I'm still building character through different life experiences and jobs.
